About Us

RUSTIC ACRES RV RESORT & CAMPGROUND

Our Story

Welcome to Rustic Acres, where nature meets adventure and work meets play. We are Michelle and Connor, a couple of wilderness enthusiasts who have been traveling the country and working remotely since 2020. Our journey led us to Rustic Acres, a beautiful, quiet, and family-friendly park that perfectly fit our vision of a campground with a reliable workspace for digital nomads.

As remote workers, we understand the importance of having a reliable work space with excellent WiFi, room to spread out in nature, and office amenities. That's why we created a unique camping experience that combines the best of both worlds - a peaceful outdoor environment and a comfortable workspace called The Hub.

At Rustic Acres, you can enjoy the beauty of nature and explore the great outdoors while still staying connected to your work. Michelle loves the outdoors and was thrilled to discover the nearby North Country Trail National Park and Clarion River. Meanwhile, Connor enjoys socializing and was excited to check out Lost in the Wilds Brewing and Sweet Basil Restaurant located nearby.

We invite you to join us at Rustic Acres, where you can immerse yourself in nature, adventure, travel, and connect with the great outdoors while enjoying all the amenities of a modern workspace. Whether you're a digital nomad, a family looking for a vacation, or a couple seeking a romantic getaway, Rustic Acres has something for everyone. Come for a day, a week, or a month, and experience the beauty and tranquility of Rustic Acres.

CONSULTING MANAGER

Kenneth Wagner

My name is Kenneth Wagner and I am a consulting manager at Rustic Acres Resort and Campground located in Shippenville, PA.

Kenneth joined the Marines Corps straight out of high school where he received training in aviation electronics. Upon completion of his four year commitment he work for various electronic manufactures ending his carer as a Principle Manufacturing Engineer for Leonardo DRS located in Johnstown Pennsylvania. He worked at DRS for twenty four years retiring in July of 2018.

Since his retirement, he has spent the past six years traveling full time in a Recreational Vehicle visiting many National Parks and monuments throughout the United States. During the last three of those years he volunteered as a camp host at National Parks and Recreation areas during the summer months. My goal today is to share my experiences and skills with the campers I meet, in hopes that make theirs the best camping experience possible.

In his free time, Ken enjoys hiking, cycling, kayaking, white water rafting, motorcycling and his favorite, spending time with his children and grandchildren.
